Anne was born in Lemberg, SK on July 25th, 1943. She attended Lemberg school until she met the love of her life, Lester, at a baseball game at Moffat. They were married on September 22, 1959. They farmed south of Wolseley, in the Moffat district and Anne also worked as a nurses aide at Lakeside Nursing Home in Wolseley for over 30 years. Together they raised six children.
Now comes the time when we had to say goodbye, which is never easy especially since she was such a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and for that we have all truly been blessed, and she always blessed others with her giving nature. If you were there you were fed...or asked repeatedly if you wanted anything. You were welcomed for a visit, welcomed to play games, cards, whichever. That was the word you’d think of when you thought of her, welcomed. It never mattered who you were, where you came from, if other people outcasted you, you had a place there. You were greeted with pleasantries, and treated like a welcomed guest. Her home was a home to others, just as much as it was to her. The world lost someone who is the type of person, that the world needs more of, not less. It is a sad time, indeed...but the suffering for her is over.
