She was predeceased by her husband Leonard, children Jacqueline and Douglas, and brother Jack. Daughter of Jack and Annie (née Rask) McKinnon, she is survived by her grandson Nigel Molaro, son-in-law Michael (Joanne) Molaro, sister Gail (Ken) Summers, niece Margaret (Jim) Anderson, nephews Bruce (Jennifer) McKinnon, Layton (Sue) Burton, Keith Summers and John (Carol) Summers, and by cherished friends, who knew her as 'Mac'.
Agnes was born in Brandon, Manitoba on the 19th of February 1924, and spent most of her upbringing in Broadview, Sask. After returning from nursing training in Kenora, Ontario, she met Leonard in Grenfell, Sask., and in 1950 moved to nearby Loxley Farm, their home of nearly fifty years. They left for Saskatoon in 1998, and after Leonard’s passing in 2007, she spent her final years in Regina. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, lifelong nurse, and fount of knowledge, she will be remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral service will be held in the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 811 Alice Street, Grenfell, SK on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with The Reverend Amanda Currie officiating. The interment will follow in the Grenfell Cemetery.
