Raymond J. Mancinone, 81, of Wolcott, entered into the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ on the evening of Friday, July 19, 2024. Ray was the beloved husband for 53 years of Barbara A. (Cekauskas) Mancinone.
Ray was born in Waterbury, CT, on March 18, 1943, to the late Pasquale and Ida (Trolio) Mancinone. He was raised in CT and was self-employed as a carpenter owning American Restoration Contractors for almost 20 years. Ray was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Prospect where he worshiped for many years. Ray was a simple and humble man who will be missed by all who knew him.
Besides his wife Barbara, Ray is survived by two daughters; Diana (Richard) Fil and Kellie (Mark) Newbery, his three grandchildren; Nathan, Anne, and Matthew Fil, two brothers; Leonard (Kay) Mancinone, and Daniel (Karen) Mancinone, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Patricia Biolo and Maryann Grenier.
A graveside committal will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott at 11:00 AM where Military Honors will be accorded. All are asked to gather directly at the cemetery immediately at 11:00 AM. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a time and date to be announced by the family later. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice in Ray's name.
