on March 17, 2022 at her residence at The Village at East Farms in Waterbury.
She was born on May 20,1932 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Henry and
Jeanette Noel and lived most of her life in Wolcott.
She was predeceased in 2012 by her husband of 61 years, Frank J. Rosa, and
is survived and loved by her 5 children Carol Rosa Sabia and her husband
Russ of Belmont, MA, Frank Rosa and his wife Everilda of Florida, Paul Rosa
and his wife Karen of Wolcott, John Rosa of New Milford, and Catherine Rosa
Fagan and her husband John of Wolcott, ten grandchildren - Amy Landes,
Danielle Roberts, Michael Rosa, Erica Corey, Sarah Quinzani, Jacqueline
Rosa, Anthony Rosa, Patrick Fagan, Connor Fagan, and Emily Sabia, and
fourteen great grandchildren.
She especially enjoyed being a grandmother and
shared her excellent cooking skills with her grandchildren. Loretta leaves
behind her sisters Rita Volpe and Lorraine Rutledge Vanderham and was
predeceased by her sister Doris Angiolillo. She also leaves behind many
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Loretta attended Waterbury Catholic High, worked at Wolcott High School, and
volunteered at several non-profit organizations for the mentally challenged
and the elderly. As an active parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church, Saint
Pius X, and Saint Basil the Great, she served on the Ladies Guild, the Altar
Society, and Pre-Cana. She loved God, her family, and spending summers in
the Belgrade Lakes region of Maine.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26th at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of the
Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main Street, Waterbury. Burial will follow
