Gloria L. Dalton

Gloria was born in Waterbury on August 22, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria (Polzella) Longo.

At age 4 she contracted Polio, but that never stopped her from living a full life.

She earned an Associate Degree at Post College in Waterbury. She was employed for over 23 years at the City of Waterbury Adult Education Department, where she was honored with awards for her work ethic and length of service. Gloria was also a former employee at the Bristol Company, Diamond Ginger Ale, and Seth Thomas.

She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church in Waterbury and St. Bridget in Cheshire.

Gloria is survived by her sister-in-law, Rosella Longo; nieces Marie J. Longo, Patricia A. Lathrop (William), nephews Joseph F. Longo (Sandra), and Christopher F. Longo (Eileen).

She is also survived by great nieces and nephews: Preston, Olivia, and Victoria Lathrop, and Christopher and Stephen Longo. She also leaves good friends Marilyn Gagnon, Mark Volza, and Lori Macgowan.

There are no calling hours and services will be private. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott has been entrusted with her arrangements.
