Robert James Norton, 76, passed away December 8, 2022. Born in Norwich, Ct. to Robert and Cecile Norton. Bob was the son a career Navy man and spent his childhood in Honolulu and Key West before his family relocated to Orlando.
Bob was an Eagle Scout and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a medic and was stationed in Ft. Walton Beach and Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines.
Bob graduated from the University of South Florida and Rollins College. He was an Administrator with the State of Florida. Above all, Bob was a dedicated family man. He loved music, the Florida State Seminoles, and his Catholic faith. Bob had a wicked sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye for those he loved.
Bob is survived by Karen, his wife of 43 years, daughter Kristen (Rob Zellem), sisters Arlene Mills and Darlene Hammer, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by Tracey and Steve Corn, Donna Miller and friends that were like family to Bob.
A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 20th at 11:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park.
