Forrester, Robert Ray, 74, of Orlando, passed away on April 27, 2011 from pneumonia. He courageously battled serious illnesses for many years but always had a positive outlook. He was born in West Virginia on February 24, 1937. After a stint in the U.S. Navy, he moved to Orlando in 1959, where he resided the rest of his life. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Winona; sister Rhea (Henry) Richards, and brothers Ken (Julie) Cottrill, Crandall (Joyce) Cottrill, Jim (Phylis) Cottrill, Roger Cottrill, and Rodney (Vicki) Cottrill. One brother, David, preceded him in death. He also leaves behind sisters-in-law, Ernestine Fulton, Kay Carter, Mildred Hahn; brother-in-law, Robert (Melanie) Richards, as well as aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He attended College Park Baptist Church. His passion was ham radio and he was well known in that community as a skilled and knowledgeable operator (K4RRF), receiving many certificates and awards. Until illness severely curtailed his activities, he was a pro bass fisherman winning many tournaments. He also loved to hunt, and was an excellent marksman.
