Robert Cuyler Jr., 78, from Orlando, Florida passed away on November 27th, 2020. He was born in humble surroundings, to Robert and Hattie Cuyler in Beloit, Wisconsin on September 25th, 1942. “Bob” attended high school in Menomonee, Michigan and received his certificate of completion in Oklahoma. As a responsible young man, Bob left home at the early age of 17 to find his independence, and follow his dreams. He eventually settled in the Chicago/Milwaukee area for 41 years, and would venture to Florida in 1985 for a warmer climate, and a new beginning.
Bob was a dedicated, and highly experienced produce manager for 57 years, and worked for stores, such as, Gooding’s, Albertsons, and Publix until he retired in 2010. As a devout Christian, Bob was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oviedo, Florida, and loved to drive, and travel the country, to see all the popular sites, and experience all America had to offer.
With a full life and heart, Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karen Cuyler. He will be missed dearly by his step children Mark and Steve Sommerfeldt (Krista), Kirsten Fisher and daughter, Cristal Cuyler. Bob was a beloved grandfather to Nick, Dylan, Eddie, Sam, Paul, Owen, Cooper, and Lilly Sommerfeldt. He was also blessed to have two great- granddaughters, Amata and Taylor Sommerfeldt, and numerous family and friends that cared for him. The great memories and guidance will last them a lifetime.
We give Bob into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ, that he may bless him, and keep him. We are comforted to know he is with his parents, and sons Scott and Dave, together in a perfect afterlife. Bob’s soft voice and generous heart will be missed by all who knew him.
