Richard T. Wheeler (Rick), 89, of Orlando, Florida passed away on August 29, 2015 at 10:06am after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Richard was born November 21, 1925 in Greensboro, NC. He joined the Army in 1943; in his 20+ years of military service, he served multiple tours in Europe, Korea, and Vietnam, retiring in 1971 to Spokane, Washington. He and his wife Pauline (passed away in May 2010) relocated to Orlando in November 1993. Richard was a 32nd Degree Mason and long-time Shriner. He is survived by his son Terry W. Wheeler, daughter-in-law Marcy, grandson Connor, and granddaughter Jordan, of Orlando, and brother Jack and sister-in-law Jo Wheeler of Orlando, and many nephews and nieces. Friends are invited to join the family for viewing at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Goldenrod Chapel, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, FL on Wednesday September 2, 2015, 7pm-9pm. Funeral services will be held at the Goldenrod Chapel Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00am, with a private graveside service at Glen Haven Memorial Park to be held immediately afterward.
