Our sweet mother Pauline McEuen Kellam completed her earthly journey peacefully on June 9,2023 with family at her side. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Pauline is preceded in death by her two loving husbands, Ross McEuen of 39 years and Jim Kellam of 24 years, her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and two grandsons.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Donna Ringo (Bill) of Louisville, son Michael McEuen (Gerry) of Denver; daughter Barbara Schmidthuber of Winter Park, sister Barbara Hancock of Albany, Ga., granddaughter Elizabeth Farley of Louisville; grandson Colin McEuen of Denver, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many loving friends. She has been buried next to her first husband in Leesburg, Georgia.
Pauline was born in Miami, Fl., grew up in Albany Ga where she met her first husband, Ross, an Air Force officer. They were stationed around the world and retired here in Winter Park in 1962. She volunteered at Winter Park Memorial Hospital as a Pink Lady for 34 years and served for two years as President of the Auxiliary. Everyone who knew Pauline would comment to us about what a sweet lady she was. She loved people, had a good sense of humor, loved to dance, shop, bake, paint, write poems, play bingo, and had traveled the world. She loved a good party and scratch-offs made her happy.
The family wants to extend special thanks to all the staff at the Mayflower, especially the medical staff in the Wellness Clinic and Skilled Nursing for the compassionate care they gave our mother. We also extend our appreciation to the ladies of Bayada who provided such loving care for Mom.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mayflower on July 6th (her 97th birthday).
Expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
