Myra (88) went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in Winter Park, FL. Myra was preceded in death by husband Alfred (2018) and son Douglas (1975); survived by sons Kenneth (wife Christine) and David (wife Melanie), grandchildren Jonathan, Alyssa, Kyle, Nicholas, Emily, and Elisabeth; and great grandchildren June, James, Jesse, Jolie, Avery, Sylvie and Ella; her sister Mildred (Wolfanger); and many loved ones and friends.
Myra was born to Hubert and Ella (Herzberg) Sunderman in Clarinda, IA. She was a graduate of Iowa State University. Myra married Alfred H. Rodemann on July 25, 1959, part of a double wedding with sister Mildred and Curt Wolfanger.
Myra and Al lived in Port Washington, NY, then relocated to Maitland, FL in 1967. Myra worked as a Teacher (Evans HS) and then as a Realtor. She was a member of the Messiah Choral Society for 40+ yrs. She loved being with family and friends, loved to play games and RVing with Al in retirement.
In 2022 Myra moved to Westminster Winter Park, where she enjoyed her last few years. A memorial service will be held at Westminster on October 25th 2024 at 9:30am to remember Myra and others who recently passed at Westminster.
