Margaret Cory DeLoy, 79 passed away on December 30th, 2015 at Langdale Hospice House Valdosta Georgia after a recent illness. She was born in Orlando, Florida January 21, 1936 to the late Lewis L Taylor and the late Essie Leigh Taylor. She was preceded in death by her second husband Warren C DeLoy and her brother Harold L Taylor. Mrs. DeLoy was a lifelong resident of Orlando, Florida. She attended college at Wesleyan College in Macon, then transferred to Stetson University in Deland, Florida where she graduated with a Music Degree. While attending college she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. For many years she taught piano lessons in her home and was the music director/organist at Audubon Park Covenant Church which she retired from in 2001. Once her daughters were older, she went back to working full time. She was the bookkeeper at Glenridge Junior High, then moved to Winter Park High School and was the bookkeeper there until her retirement in 2001. She was a active member of North Park Baptist Church her entire life, only in the last years she was not able to attend due to health issues. Mrs. DeLoy and Warren enjoyed going to plays at the Bob Carr Auditorium and attending the Orlando Symphony. In the last 5 years she has resided in assisted living in Lake Park Georgia at Baptist Village and later went to Fellowship Home in Valdosta, GA. She was always so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandson. If you knew her well you knew and anyone that asked what are her two favorite things and that would be the color Purple and Cats. Survivors include: her two daughters and sons in law Wendy and Brian Brannen of Valdosta, Georgia, Julie and Brett Thayer of Clermont, Florida. Her stepsons, Dee DeLoy and Craig DeLoy of Orlando, Florida. Granddaughter Britiany Haskin (Jeremy) of Valdosta, Georgia, Grandson Jeffrey St Pierre (Amber) of Davenport, Florida and Great grandson Grayson Eli Haskin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Services will be at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home Goldenrod Chapel, Winter Park on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 am. for Visitation, Service at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Flowers can be accepted at Baldwin Fairchild Goldenrod Chapel/Winter Park or donations can be made on her behalf to any of the following, Baptist Village, Lake Park Georgia, Fellowship Home, The Elms Memory Care or Langdale Hospice House.
