John “Jack” Joseph Dinnan, 88 of Melbourne Beach, Florida, passed away on November 21, 2022. He was born in Bronx, New York on June 1, 1934 to parents, Raymond and Genevieve (Withington) Dinnan. He graduated from St Leonard's Catholic High School at age 16. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and in 1953 he married Edith Josephine Verni. After they got married, his career took him first to Virginia and in 1969 to Central Florida. His electronics sales career associated him heavily with Motorola and many other various electronic manufacturer's involved in the communication sector. He was also a member of various Youth service organizations in Central Florida, and he enjoyed fishing and traveling throughout the United States and all over the world. Jack is survived by his wonderful wife of 69 years, Edith; children, Alan and his wife, Dana Dinnan, Richard and his wife, Jodi Dinnan, Elieen Dinnan and her husband, Michael Mathay and Karen and her husband, Robert Whatley; grandchildren, Jimmy Dinnan, Blake Dinnan, Erica Dinnan, Rae Cox, Scott Dinnan, Christopher Dinnan, Heather Thomas, Cassie Jacoby, Zachery Whatley and Hannah Whatley; great grandchildren, Cody, Christopher, Haylie, Hannah, Hayden, Ashlyn, Emila, Jaxson, Hope, Carson, Allison, Caleigh, Tristan and Billie and a great great granddaughter, Lilith Helen. Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Helen Creach and grandson, Seth Dinnan.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
A funeral service for Jack will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Goldenrod/WP, 7520 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, Florida 32792. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789.
