Jay was born July 10, 1955 In Houston, Texas to Jack and Sydney Taylor(Hooper). He passed away in Winter Park, Florida on February 20, 2015.
Jay was battling a rare blood cancer and lost. Jay graduated from public schooling in LaMargue, Texas in 1973. He began a career in construction as a survey assistant, eventually achieving project manager position. He managed many large construction projects and forged many life long friends. Presently he was supervisor of construction for Seminole county schools.
Jay and Melissa were married in 1984. They were blessed with two children Megan and James. They settled and raised their family in Orlando, Florida.
Jay is predeceased in death by his father Jack Taylor and brother Paul Goodwill. Surviving family members: mother, Sydney Hooper, brothers John and Randy Taylor. Previous wife Melissa Taylor and children Megan and James.
The memorial service will be held on March 7, 2015 at Lake Brantley High School, 991 Sandlake Road, Altamonte Springs, Florida from 10 am to 12 noon.
