James Edward (Jim) Harrison was joyfully welcomed into this world on November 2, 1958 by James T. and Eula Harrison and sister Michelle. He left this world far too soon on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the age of 63. He grew up in Melbourne, Florida where he graduated from Melbourne High. He received advanced degrees from UCF and Barry School of Law in Orlando.
He is survived by his loving wife Cheri, mother Eula, sister Michelle (Ben), and niece Dawn (Foster), and their three children, Devon, Daegin, and Vivienne. In life, he was devoted to both his family and many close friends. We and his innumerable friends and colleagues will greatly miss his very special presence.
Jim was passionate about travel and dreamed of traveling the world. He was especially fond of the Southwest USA, Caribbean and Central America and hoped to visit South America among many other places. In his free time he was an avid mountain biker and hiker. His other interests included boating, standup paddleboarding, rock climbing and running.
A celebration of life service for Jim will be held at First Baptist Orlando, 3000 S John Young Parkway at 10am on Saturday, August 27. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor this fine man make a donation in his memory to First Baptist Church of Melbourne, (https://www.fbcmel.info/give/), or the Heart of Florida United Way (https://www.hfuw.org/jimharrison/) a favored charity to which he contributed for over 20 years.
