In loving memory of Gaddis Michael (Mike) Ishee, Sr., aged 78, of Orlando, FL, who passed away on July 29, 2023. He was born on July 26, 1945, in Laurel, MS, to Gaddis James Ishee and Martha Emaline Massey Ishee of Taylorsville, MS. He peacefully left this world after a visit from his 4 children.
Mike grew up in the Stringer/Taylorsville, MS area and had a passion for education and sports. He attended and played football at Jones Junior College, where he showcased his talent and dedication. He attended Mississippi State and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mike's love for Mississippi State Football was well-known. He was a dedicated fan who found joy in cheering for his beloved Bulldogs.
Mike is survived by his loving spouse, Rosa Severino Berroa, and their children: Abril Ishee Severino of Winter Park, FL, and Russell Inoa Severino of Orlando, FL. Mike also leaves behind a cherished legacy through his children, Gaddis Michael (husband of Bethany) Ishee, II. of Cartersville, GA, Matthew C. (husband of Kristen) Ishee of Charleston, SC, Britton (wife of David) Gregerson of Gadsden, AL and their mother, Colette Haggerty. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and his four siblings: Ray (husband of Rhonda) Ishee of Wesson, MS, Julia (wife of Ken) Adam of Marblehead, MA, Jean (wife of the late Talbert) Stuart of Graham, NC, and Wendell (husband of Margaret) Ishee of Mobile, AL.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Mississippi at a later date to honor and remember the wonderful life of Mike Ishee.
Though he is no longer with us, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. As we say goodbye, his family stands in confidence that today, he is without pain and is with Jesus.
