Dottie was born February 2, 1932, to the late Harry & Clara (Joost) Degener, on their family farm in Sparta, Illinois. They retired from the Military to Orlando, Florida in 1984, where Dottie became an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, in Oviedo, Florida. Dottie was a passionate Orlando Magic fan and enjoyed watching games regularly. She also loved dogs and told stories of all of the family dogs from over the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was very attentive to the family and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, stage performances, and various celebrations. She was preceded in death by her dear parents and siblings, Vernon H. Degener (Madonna R.), Wilbert L. Degener (June L), and Marvin D. Degener. She is survived by her devoted husband, Charley; son, Curtis Alan Binney (Angela C); and grandchildren, Sarah M. Binney and Evan S. Binney.
