Carmen L. Morales, age 83 of Orlando, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020. She was born April 28, 1937 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. She is now re-united with her two eldest children, Faustino “Sunshine” Mendez, and Judith “Jay” Mendez.
Carmen lived her life for her children. She was our matriarch, the sunshine when our days were gray, the strength when were weak, and our guiding light when we were lost. Her love is the foundation of our everyday life. She has impacted so many with her unconditional love, and with praise to her, we will continue to build our family with love, respect, honor, and devotion.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Mendez-Vega, Ricardo Mendez, Ivette Mendez, & Lourdes Rivera-Rosario; her grandchildren, Kevin Vegas, Chassidy Chanza, Michael Echevarria, Anjelica Echevarria, Nicholas Rosario, & Evan Mendez; her great grandchildren, Gabriella Vegas, Alyssa Perez, Nevaeh Tribble, & Iliana Vegas; her siblings, Joseph Rodriguez, Maria Mantilla, Ramona Anguita, Elizabeth Rodriguez, William Rodriguez, Wilfredo Rodriguez, Ismael Rodriguez, & Ricardo Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 4-8 PM at Baldwin Fairchild, Goldenrod Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 11AM Friday, June 19, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
