Ann Croasdell, a well known real estate agent and instructor went to be with the Lord on Sept 11, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family and will be dearly missed by them as well as many friends.
Ann was born and raised in North Florida in the small town of Madison. Her family came to Florida before it was a state and she always claimed to be one of the few native Floridians. She graduated High School and went to Tallahassee to go to work first with the local telephone company and eventually to work for the State of Florida. She was the first female staff assistant in the Governor's Office long before women were recognized as professionals other than secretaries, teachers or nurses. She was active in the National Organization for Women.
She moved to Central Florida and became the Assistant Director of the Florida Real Estate Commission. She was instrumental in doubling the staff to shorten time to investigate complaints along with being a part of the development team that created a comprehensive state exam for salesmen and brokers. After 5 years, she left government and opened a real estate school.
She taught real estate for many years at her own school and ultimately at school owned and operated by a former instructor of hers. There is an estimate that Ann taught about 15,000 students in her long career as a teacher.
She also taught nationally for Charles Givens and traveled for a year from state to state teaching people how to buy, manage and hold real estate as an investment.
Returning to Central Florida, she went to college some 30 years out of high school and worked in the recovery community at an adolescent treatment center. Following that, she returned to real estate again teaching and eventually working for Remax until her retirement. Her son Kyle took over the business when she slowed down. She was a member of Remax's Lifetime Achievement group that reflected she had earned 3,000,000 during her career with Remax.
Active for many years in the recovery community, Ann helped many people get sober and stay sober and was active in that area for over 38 years. Someone described Ann as real, true blue, authentic and genuine.
Ann also was a wonderful gardener and maintained a yard that was beautiful and had many parts of the garden to be enjoyed by all visitors to her home as well as a place for an Easter Egg Hunt every year.
She is survived by her three sons and three daughter-in-laws, Al Clark ( Terri), Scott Clark (Dana), and Kyle Clark ( Sandra). Three grandchildren Bennet Clark (Becca), Maxwell Clark and Kendall Clark. One Great Granddaughter Savannah Clark.
Services will include a viewing and reception on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 4-6 PM. Memorial service to follow at 6 PM. She will be buried in the family plot in Madison.
