Philip Carl Smith

Philip Smith, 75, of Winter Haven, Florida went to be with the Lord on May 02, 2024. He was born on July 30, 1948. Philip served honorably in United States Army as a Combat Engineer from 1968 to 1970 serving in Vietnam. During his service in the Army, Philip earned the Distinguished Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, 2 Overseas Service bars, and Expert Badge with Rifle. He continued to serve his country by working at the VA Hospital as a Police Officer. He enjoyed time with family, collecting Jerry Lee Lewis memorabilia and pewter items, and exploring the community with his wife of 20 years, Carolyn Smith. They were members of Center Point Church in Winter Haven.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Helen, brothers, Larry and Mike, and son Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Smith, children: Brent, Tiffani, Tammy (Patrick), Melissa, Amanda (Matt); eight grandchildren: Seth, AJ (Marissa), Noah, Caleb, McKinley, Chloe, Eric, and Justin; and three great grandchildren, Lyndy, Kenneth, and Kash Philip.

A Celebration of Life for Philip will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Center Pointe Church in Winter Haven, Florida.
