A loving mother and homemaker, Miriam moved from Erie, Pennsylvania in 1975 to Florida with her family. She lived in Spring Hill, then Lutz. While living in Lutz, she attended services at First United Methodist Church of Lutz. She also participated in the Temple Twirlers Square Dance Club for 20 years, beginning in 2002. During her membership she had the honor of receiving a medal signifying that she square danced in all 50 states over a period of two years.
Miriam leaves behind her children, Sue Cachon (husband Kenneth Merideth), Jane Hackenberg (Dave), Jill Cameron (Dave), and Julie Brucker (James); as well as nine grandchildren (Marie-Ange, Greg, Genevieve, John, Darya, Greg, Johnny, Jessica, and Jimmy), and twelve great grandchildren, who all remember her lovingly. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Brown, her parents, siblings, and second husband, Tom James.
Miriam will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, May 5th at 2:00. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 2:00 at First United Methodist Church of Lutz.
Flowers may be delivered to the church between and 1:00 and 2:00 on Saturday.
