WINTER HAVEN - Joseph Tony "Papa" Volpe, 90, went home to be with the Lord on 11/12/10 due to natural causes. He didn't meet his Savior alone because he was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.

He was born February 4th 1920 in LaSalle, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked 32 years for L.O.F. glass factory. In 1977, he retired to Fl.

He was preceded by his wife of 44 years Donna L. Volpe. Survivors include sons William J. Volpe Kay and David A. Volpe Karen ; grandchildren Katelynn K. Volpe and Joseph Tyler Volpe and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held 11/16/10 starting with visitation at 10 00 am and funeral service at 11 00 am at Ott-Laughlin funeral home in Winter Haven.
