James Marc Precious, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. James was born in Monteclaire, New Jersey on February 13, 1950.
James was a dedicated and loyal public servant as a law enforcement officer in New York, Largo, Florida and overseas. James retired from the Largo Police Department at the rank of Captain in 2008, after 25 years of service. The Captain always ensured the men and women of the police department were always taken care of while they provided the best public service to the citizens they served.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Agnes Precious. James is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Sheila. His son Chris (Cathy), daughter Megan (Matt), grandchildren Christina and Thomas (Chris and Cathy), Kylie and Luke, (Megan and Matt), his brothers, Daniel, Robert, and Thomas.
