James Arthur Akins, 87, of Auburndale, Florida passed away on October 9, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Lakeland, Florida. He was born on June 16, 1930 in Greencastle, Indiana. He was retired as an assembler from General Motors after 30 years of service. He moved to this area from Greencastle 26 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Laura Akins.
