Winter Haven – Frances J. Decoteau, age 88, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 due to complications of Alzheimer’s. She was born in Wigan, England and came to the United States as a war bride, becoming a US citizen on June 2, 1970. During WWII she worked in a parachute factory in England. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary .

Mrs. Decoteau was preceded in death by her husband, of 31 years, Raymond A. Decoteau. She is survived by her daughters Betty Yates (Howard) of Frostproof, FL, Kathleen Chesser of Celebration, FL, Patricia Farris (Ralph Leutz) of Winter Haven, and Colleen Tyndall (David) Palm Bay, FL, brother Arthur Hesketh (Veronica) of England, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation is Saturday from 3:30 till 4:30 pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven with funeral services following at 4:30 pm.
