Charles J. Jeffers Sr., 88, passed away at home in Winter Haven, FL, on June 30, 2011, due to renal failure. He was born in Gibbstown, NJ, to William and Fransis Jeffers. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII. He retired after 37 years as an operational supervisor for Dupont. He was also a post commander of VFW post 5579 in Gibbstown, NJ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 61 years, Jacqueline Mattson Jeffers. He is survived by; two sons: Charles Jeffers and Gene (Mary Ella) Jeffers, two daughters: Holly Jeffers and Jacqueline Nessuno, two brothers: Francis (Karen) Jeffers and George Jeffers, two sisters: Mary Homan and Ritzi Wren, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven on Friday, July 8th at 6 pm.
