Our loving father, William (Bill/Pop Pop) J. Brennan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the age of 94 in Orlando, Florida surrounded by family.
Bill Brennan was born to parents, John and Madeline Brennan in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania on August 16, 1920. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. Following his military service, he met and married the love of his life, Mary E. Coffey on April 3, 1948. Bill was employed as a machinist for Westinghouse Company until retirement. He was a devoted family man, an active member of the Catholic Church, and thoroughly enjoyed trips with his wife and siblings to Atlantic City.
He is survived by his wife Mary of 67 years; siblings Dorothy Schaub and John Brennan; children Paul (Patricia) Brennan, Anne (Kevin) Lavin, Mary Pat (Greg,deceased) Hee, and William Brennan, Jr.; 5 grandchildren Kevin, Annie, Sean, Kyle, PJ; and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Charlie Brennan and Helen Redding.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 9:30 AM, which will include a church service at Resurrection Catholic Church, with burial immediately following. Bill will be laid to rest at the Winter Garden Cemetery in Winter Garden, FL. Memorial donations may be made to the Resurrection Catholic Church at 11211 Winter Garden Vineland Road, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
