Mildred Roop Owens

Mildred Roop Owens, 79, of Apopka, Florida passed away on July 7, 2012. She was born in Orleans, Indiana on December 20, 1932 to Charles and Lavella Denise (Hankins) Tuell. She worked for many years as a Waitress at the Holiday Inn and retired after 20 plus years of service. She was Baptist by faith. Mildred's greatest joy in life was her family and she enjoyed being with family and friends sharing special moments. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Owens, her son, Wesley Ervin Roop; and by her brothers, Billy Tuell and Charles Tuell. Mildred is survived by her son, Malvin W. Roop and his wife Debra; her brother, Ronald Tuell and his wife Jerline; her sister, Sharon Pate, her 5 grandchildren and her 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11 from 6 - 8 PM at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home in Winter Garden, Florida. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 12 at 11 AM in the chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Ocoee Cemetery, Ocoee, Florida.
