Mrs. Karen A. Cruz

Karen A. Cruz passed away suddenly on March 25, 2010. She will be remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ed Cruz; her stepchildren, Jamie and Nicole; grandchildren, Gary, Natalie and Emmali; her mother, Frances Duun; and her sisters Diana, Kathy and Liz; nephew Sean Grosvenor; and in-laws, Flossy and Gus Cruz; sister-in-law Kathi Beutler; nephews, Ryan, Matthew, and Benjamin. She was predeceased by her son, Brett Dashnaw in 2005. Karen was fun loving, warm hearted, spirited and a classy lady. She touched our lives in so many ways. She was always thoughtful, thinking of family and friends first. She was dedicated to her work, loved entertaining, gardening, the ocean, and an occasional ride on the back of a Harley with the sun beating down on her face. She will always be a part of our lives. We miss her dearly already. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 E. Plant St., Winter
