Ivy was born on August 24th, 1926 in Docking, Norfolk, England to Alice Chapman Hutchinson and John Edward Hutchinson. She was the 4th of 9 children. Ivy lived in England until she was 28 years old, at which time she married a “Yank” with the USAF and moved across the pond to the United States. She and her family lived in multiple locations throughout the US before settling in Orlando in 1967 where she eventually retired from the nursing field.
Ivy loved people, she never met a stranger and always enjoyed talking with whomever she crossed paths with. She was very friendly and known to be a great talker, which at a very young age earned her the nickname of “Twitty”, always twitting about like a bird she was told! She had a special fondness for all animals and believed it was her personal mission to make sure they were all fed, and she made sure she fed them well!
Ivy was preceded in her passing by her loving husband, Kenneth, her parents, Alice, and John Hutchinson, 3 of her brothers, and 3 of her sisters.
Ivy is survived by her daughters, Yvonne (Harry) Strange, Christina Osburn and her grandchildren, Dale (Jackie) Strange, Lisa Kehoe, Jason (Nicole) Strange, and Michael (Rachel) Strange, her 14 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, brother, Bernie Hutchinson, and sister, June Waters both of Heacham, England.
Ivy will be most remembered for the love and devotion she showed her family and for her very generous and giving nature.
A visitation for Ivy will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 428 E PLANT ST, WINTER GARDEN, FL 34787, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
