Frank Charles Scott was number five of Harold and Annie Mae Scott's ten children. He was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He started working on the family farm at the age of nine. he learned to operate the tractor, and that became his designated job on the farm.
he received his elementary and secondary education in Miami-Dade County Public School System. During this time he became active in sports. Participating in activities with older men led to his involvement in community teams, as well as Negro League Baseball.
After graduating from Miami Northwestern High School and a brief stay at Mississippi Industrial College, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country as a paratrooper. After his discharge from the military, he enrolled in Tennessee State University located in Nashville, Tennessee. There he met and married his beautiful wife, Earline McDonald. They became a "team" and have remained a team for over 50 years.
Frank's work in corporate America resulted in travel across the country, resulting in the "team" residing in several different areas of the country to include: Memphis, Tennessee; Nashville, Tennessee; Baltimore, Maryland; Glen Burnie, Maryland; Miami, Florida; Tri-Cities, Washington, and finally Orlando, Florida.
After arriving in Orlando, Frank established his company, Complete Fire Safety, and worked until his retirement in 017. As part of making Orlando his home, he joined the Tangelo Baptist Church family where he has served faithfully for over 35 years in the Sunday School and Deacon Ministries.
Youth sports has always been his passion. He coached youth football, baseball, basketball and women's softball. In addition to coaching, he organized and developed Pasco Little League in Pasco, Washington, Court Kids Basketball in Kennewick, Washington, and Pine Hills Youth Sports in Orlando, Florida.
His legacy continues today.
Unfortunately, Frank's health started to decline in September 2018 and continued until April 8, 2019 when he was called home to join his parents (Harold and Annie Mae Scott) and brothers (Alfred and Ernest Scott), all preceding him in death.
