Donna Register Alley

Donna was born on October 12, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama as the only child to the late Jettie Beatrice and James Bascum Register.

Donna married her high school beau, Robbie Joe Martin in 1960, amongst their college years. Their union created 3 sons which they adored, and they remained close throughout her life. Donna relocated and raised her boys in Cincinnati, Ohio, briefly lived in Baltimore, Maryland, then retired to Florida after her boys all attended colleges in the South.

Donna loved to travel and visited all the US states, plus many other countries. But she lived for her grandchildren and sports. She was an avid Bengals, Reds, and Alabama fan. She was happiest when she was with her grandkids, and it wasn't unusual to find her jumping on the sofa, shouting “Roll Tide!”.

Donna was preceded in death by former husbands, Stephen Vroom and William Alley, both of whose families she remained close to. She is survived by her sons, Jay Martin (Joi) of Windermere,FL, Jeff Martin of Lakewood Ranch,FL, and John Martin (Liz) of Dubuque,IA; and grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, Wendy, Niki, Hannah, Davis, and Wade.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home. A celebration of Donna’s life will take pace on May 6, in Dickson, TN. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered at www.baldwin-fairchild.com.
