David Patrick Walsh Jr.

David Patrick Walsh was born in New York City to the late Mary Loretta and David Patrick Walsh on June 12, 1935. David passed peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 13, 2022. After attending Richmond Hill HS in Queen, NY he enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean War and was stationed on the USS San Marcos in Amphibious Submarine Forces. He retired from the NYC Transit Authority after over 20 years and then from AMC Theaters after over 20 years as well. David is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Theresa Walsh and his children: David Walsh and his wife Sue, Patrick Walsh and his wife Debbie, Frances Walsh; Theresa Walsh Buelvas and her husband Marco Antonio; his daughters-in-law: Angela Walsh and Rosa Walsh; his beloved grandchildren: Christine Rickert and her husband Mike, Jennifer Miller and Frank Duenez; Michelle Henning and her husband Robert, Robert Walsh, Jessica Walsh, Kerri Jean Marazan, Denis Buscarino, Christopher Buelvas and his wife Aliya, Andrew Buelvas and Caitlin Labadini, Angelica Walsh and her husband Kevin Patrick and Kimberly Walsh; his adored great-grandchildren: Amanda, Tristan, Robert, Rosa, Bella, Nic, Ryan, Olivia, Ariana and Justin; his precious great-great-grandchildren: Lilyvanna Rose Walsh and Aria and Amethyst Torres and his sister, Loretta Kennedy and her husband Edward. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his younger brother Robert Walsh and his two sons Joseph and William.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration, FL. Inurnment with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. at 1:30 p.m. David's late son, Joseph, will be laid to rest with him as well.
