Davis, Annie Grace, age 86 of Winter Garden, FL went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 11. She was born in Ocoee and lived most of her life in Winter Garden. Grace worked for many years as a grader in several citrus packing houses in the area.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lee and Annie Ethel Rowland; her husband of 38 years, Clayton W. , who she married at the age of 16. He passed away in 1979; son, Donald Lee who passed away in 2011 and sister, Imo Jean Mane. She is survived by a son: Charles L. (Linda) of Port Orchard, WA and a daughter, Beverly (Keith) Butts of Ocoee, FL; 5 grandchildren: Scott Davis, Stuart Davis, Kevin Butts , Angie Davis and Donna Valente ; 4 great grandchildren and her beloved sister, Eva Nell Campbell and many nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife and mother. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist until her health declined. She loved the Lord and read her Bible faithfully. She loved her church family and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed sharing her soups and cakes with others. She also enjoyed fishing, and enjoyed sending cards to many of her church family, her family and friends over the years. This was a ministry that God had given her.
Grace also wrote poems that will be treasured by her family. Her family rejoices and thanks God that she is at peace with the Lord.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14 from 6 – 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be 11 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, with Rev. Reynold Lemp, Chaplain Tom McRee of VITAS Hospice and Pastor Bryan Fernett, Assistant Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Memorials may be sent to VITAS Hospice in memory of Grace.
