Wesley "Ed" Edwin Moore

Wesley Edwin Moore, also known as Ed, passed away on August 27, 2023, in Winston-Salem, NC, at the age of 75. He was born on January 28, 1948, in Old Fort, NC. Ed was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Ed was a God-fearing man who lived his life with faith and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 years, Mary, and their children Jeff, Teresa, and Scott. Ed was also a cherished father-in-law to Ann and Nicole. His memory will forever be treasured by his four grandchildren, granddaughters Rachel White (husband Ralph), Scarlett and Emmy Moore and grandson Cole. Ed is survived by his sister Jeanette Furan, brother-in-law Hugh, brother Chuck Moore and sister-in-law Linda. He was preceded in death by his father Paul, mother Ruby, and brother Mike.

Ed owned a local Auto Repair Business, Old Town Giant, for an impressive 50-years. With a slogan of “Just call Ed” his dedication and expertise made him a well-respected figure within the community.

Friends and family are invited to attend the services to pay their respects and celebrate Ed's life.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vogler Funeral & Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Park, 3815 Yadkinville Road, Winston Salem, North Carolina 27106. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 3815 Yadkinville Road, Winston Salem, North Carolina 27106. An interment to follow will occur at Forsyth Memorial Park.

Ed's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and contributions to his community.
