Robert John Rudolph

Robert John Rudolph, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, 88, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 21, 1933 in Hazelton, PA to Edward and Dorothy Uthe Rudolph.

He graduated from Hazelton High School in 1952 and was drafted into the Army and was a Korea War veteran. He married Lenabel Thurman on August 19, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. During his work career he was manager at Sears, Montgomery Ward, and Freeman Shoes. He retired as a store manager at Bachman Foods Outlet Store in Reading, PA after working there for 30 years.

Robert was truly a loving and caring man, loved far and wide! He loved God, his wife, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren fiercely. Robert also made friends everywhere that he went. He had a way of making people (even strangers) smile and laugh. He enjoyed sports, dancing and working out. He competed in swim, run, and triathlon races.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Lenabel Rudolph, his brother Edward, his sisters Grace Rudolph and Carolyn Walp

He is survived by his three children Robert (Cynthia) Rudolph, Paul (Phyllis) Rudolph, and Rebecca (Phillip) Bellanca. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Renee (Michael Lehman) Rudolph, Paul Rudolph, and Alina Rudolph as well as his great grandchildren Amelia and Ezra Lehman.

Services will be held Friday, July 9th, 2021 at 11:00 am, in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA 17019. A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm in the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
