Kathy Grey Sizemore King, of Tobaccoville, was chosen by our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to come home on January 17, 2022. She was born in Forsyth County on September 15, 1960. She grew up in Yadkin County, NC, graduated from Forbush High School and then attended Surry Community College graduating with a Degree in Electronics. After graduation Kathy worked for RJ Reynolds and later obtained her Real Estate License and began practicing Real Estate until becoming the Office Manager of Gupton Royal Design Group P.A. and part owner in the family Construction company Creative Design and Construction. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ LDS in Pilot Mountain, NC. Kathy married Michael Edward King from Yadkin County on August 11, 1989. Kathy & Mike have four children, and eight grandchildren. Kathy mothered all her family with loving care and affection. She spent many hours carrying children and then grandchildren to multiple activities and fun events to broaden their perspective opportunities in life. Kathy and Mike enjoyed spending time and traveling with family, especially on cruise ships to many different destinations. Kathy loved animals and always had a dog in the car with her. When family or friends needed anything, Kathy was always there to assist. She spent her life in service to others and will be forever missed by those she left behind. Kathy is survived by her husband Michael Edward King of the Home; Daughters: Brandi Michelle Young of Stafford, VA; Samantha Dene’e Hardister of King, NC; and Michele King of Tobaccoville, NC; Son: Michael E. King JR. (Darcie) of King, NC; Mother Samie Edison Gupton and Father Harris Baker Gupton of Tobaccoville, NC; Grandchildren: Hayley Marie Warner, Jayden Thomas King, Miley Rose King, Zoie Mechel Singleton, Cali Lynn Singleton, Safari Le Ray Hardister, Thea Gray Hardister and Lainey Skye King; Brother Johnny Chad Sizemore of Winston Salem, Step Brother Tommy Gupton (Denise) and Step Sister Denise Grayson (Michael) both of Tobaccoville, NC; A special Uncle, Baxter Edison and special Aunt, Becky Edison Anderson. Kathy was proceeded in death by her biological Father Johnny G. Sizemore, Step Brother David B Gupton, Grandmothers Lois Faye Robertson Edison and Irene Nellie Casstevens Sizemore, Grandfathers Herman Samuel Edison and Fred Nelson Sizemore, special Aunt Sarah Sizemore Lawson, and her loving great grandmother Pollie Ada Snead Edison. Family Visitation will be Sunday January 23 from 5-7 pm at Vogler’s Funeral Home 3815 Yadkinville Road, Winston Salem, NC. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM January, 24, 2022 at Vogler’s Funeral Home at 3815 Yadkinville Road, Winston Salem, with Bishop Jeffery Simmons and Bishop Jeffery Long officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
