Josh, affectionately nicknamed “Cowboy” by his friends, was born on September 23, 1980, in Forsyth County. He was a renegade from the beginning. Josh was always getting into mischief and finding his own way of doing things. He wanted to make history. So much so that when he graduated from Forsyth Tech, he did so in handcuffs with two police officers as escorts. Josh received a standing ovation.
Josh was a self-proclaimed redneck. He enjoyed all the stereotypical southern activities including fishing, 4-wheeling, shooting guns, hunting, being an herbal tea aficionado, bonfires and cookouts. He looked forward to trips to Busco Beach to go muddin, Oak Island Beach, and Tennessee. Josh was always up for a good time, but also just liked to relax and end his day with a refreshing Bud Lite or Jim Beam with Mountain Dew.
He leaves behind his children, Haley Haralson (Roman Casteel), Katie Haralson, and Adeline Haralson; stepsons, Mason White and Joseph Strickland; numerous other family members and many loyal friends; as well as his dogs, Rebel and Rosie.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, October 19th at 2pm at Vogler Funeral & Cremations on Yadkinville.
Flowers will be accepted, or you may think of supporting Josh’s children during this time of need.
