Frank Thomas Hamlin, Sr.

Winston-Salem-Frank Thomas Hamlin, Sr., passed peacefully on March 15th, 2012 at Silas Creek Manor in Winston-Salem, NC. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 20th, at 3 PM at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Visitation will take place in the mausoleum chapel from 2:00 to 3 PM prior to the service.

He was born March 7th, 1919, to Charles W. and Lena Jackson Hamlin. Mr. Hamlin was a long time retired employee of the RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. He was the last of his six brother and sisters to pass from this life. His wife, Phebe Laura Rose and daughter, Helen Luvada Langford preceded him in death. He leaves behind five sons and one daughter ; Joice O. Hamlin (Billie) of Parrish, FL, Tom Hamlin of Pinnacle, Jesse Carlyle Hamlin (Shirley) of Palm Bay, FL; William Eugene Hamlin of Rural Hall, George Perry Hamlin (Virginia) of Advance and Vermalee Jane Martz (Robert) of Advance; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Ms. Becky Rober for caring for Mr. Hamlin for these many years.
