loving family. She was born March 10, 1938 in Surry County to the late William Alex and Eula
Johnson Wood. She was a loving, kind, Christian mother and grandmother (Meme) with a great
sense of humor, big heart, and a love of reading.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Chestney Eubanks, Jr., son, Derek
Eubanks of Greensboro, daughter, Adele Wilson of Arkansas and grandson, Zac (Petra) Wilson;
brother, Edward (Caroll) Wood of Burlington, and sister, Janet (Steve) Johnson of
Winston-Salem; a dear sister-in-law, Pat Eubanks Highfill; brothers and sisters-in law, Otis
(Linda) , Dickie, and Larry (Shannon) Eubanks; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Eubanks
was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Allisabeth Wilson and sister Thelma, and
brothers, Leon, Lonnie Gray, and Donald Wood.
There will be no formal visitation. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 30 at 12pm at
Forsyth Memorial Park.
The family wants to thank Joyce Miller for the wonderful care of Fran during her illness.
