It is with great sadness that the family of Emma Josephine Dufresne Bracero announces her passing on November 22, 2023 at the tender age of 25. Born on June 28, 1998, to Robert Leon Dufresne and Caren Ruth Maslowsky in Statesville, NC. Emma lived a life defined by an unwavering spirit of perseverance and strength. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, David John Dufresne and Melania Elizabeth Milosek, and maternal grandfather, Gary William Maslowsky.
Emma was smart, quick witted, and a talented artist. Her adventurous soul fed her desire to travel with her husband, Solomon and their son, Jayden, cherishing every moment spent visiting new places and embracing those adventures with them. The beach held a special place in her heart, where many memories were made.
Emma's thoughtfulness and caring nature endeared her to those around her. Her infectious laughter and warm smile brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her acts of kindness and her willingness to help others were emblematic of her selflessness and genuine concern for others. Emma spread love and compassion, making the world a better place through her gentle spirit.
Above all, Emma cherished her role as a mother to Jayden, her pride and joy. Her dedication to him was exceptional, and she instilled in him values of love, compassion and resilience.
Emma Bracero leaves a legacy of love, compassion and adventure. Her strength, perseverance, and determination inspired all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she inspired.
Mrs. Bracero is survived by: husband, Solomon Bracero, son, Jayden Bracero of the home, her father, Robert Leon Dufresne (Carrie) of Winston-Salem, her mother, Caren Ruth Maslowsky of Greenville, South Carolina, her brother, Lucas Dufresne of Winston-Salem, her sister, Alyssa Dufresne of Rutland, Vermont, maternal grandmother, Carol Barber Maslowsky of Albany, New York, her step-sister, Kaitlin Norwood of Winston-Salem, two step-brothers, Andrew Norwood of Winston-Salem, and Samuel Norwood (Kayleigha) of Winston-Salem, two sisters-in-law, Sydney Bracero of West Jefferson, and Sterling Bracero of Jefferson, one niece, Leilani Bracero, several aunts and uncles survive as well.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 1st, 2023, at Vogler Funeral at Forsyth Memorial Park at 3:00 pm with Bob Richardson officiating.
