Betty was born in Radford, Virginia on July 31, 1943 to the late Perry Harding Reid, Sr. and Myrtle Reid Wishon. After high school, she went to work for Hanes Brand/Sara Lee on the production line until transferring to the employee store before her retirement.
Betty was a devout Christian. She was a dedicated member of Immanuel Baptist Church and dedicated herself to her daily devotionals.
Betty was a talented photographer and excelled at gardening. She was very fond of her roses. She loved animals and people. Betty never met a stranger, whether they have four legs or two.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Eugene Dull. Betty leaves behind her daughter, Kristy Hofer (Mike Enscore); stepmother, Ruth Pinnix Reid; grandchildren, Amberly Rusch and Logan Hofer; great grandchildren, Nari and Tommy; siblings, Virginia Reid Hill, and Perry Harding Reid, Jr.; in-laws, Carol Jean Nixon and Anita (Steve) Danner); as well as countless other family members and friends.
A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 2pm at Vogler Funeral & Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation following the service.
