It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of Wayne Lawrence Lozinski, announce his passing on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the age of 57, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy.
Wayne will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife Lori; children Ryan and Stephanie; mom Helen; sister Terry-Lynn; parents-in-law Albert and Marion Eveleigh; brother-in-law Aubrey Eveleigh (Audrey); sisters-in-law Jackie Pinksen (Terry) and Treena Pinksen (Jeff); nieces and nephews Kimberly (Patrick), Jonathan (Terri-Lynn), Jillian (Sherman), Brooke, Matthew, Rebecca, Daniel, Kaden, and Oliver; his beloved dog, Lucy and many close friends and family.
Wayne was predeceased by his dad, Victor (2005).
Wayne grew up in Transcona and could be found at the baseball park or golf course in the summertime and at the hockey rink in the winter. After graduating from the University of Manitoba, he joined Hatch Ltd. (formerly Acres International) where he enjoyed his career immensely, as a structural civil engineer. His work took him across Canada, including Vancouver where he and Lori lived for nine years. Wayne was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed all things involving nature or adventure. He also enjoyed travelling, whether it was to energetic places like Las Vegas or peaceful destinations like Newfoundland. However, coming home to the family cottage at Traverse Bay was always special to him. Wayne appreciated all that life had to offer as long as he was with Lori, Ryan and Stephanie, his family and friends, and of course, Lucy, who never left his side. Laughter is the best medicine and Lori’s ability to keep Wayne laughing made the days easier.
With greatest appreciation, we would like to thank Josie and Flora for their never-ending love, support and tender care of Wayne.
Family and friends are invited to join together as we celebrate Wayne's life at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
Memorial donations can be made in Wayne's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
