Left to cherish his memory are roommates Gerald and Michael who loved Wayne like their brother and the many people who cared and supported him from Visions of Independence.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents Annie (2020) and Miklos (2016).
Wayne was born on March 26, 1969, as an only child to Annie and Miklos Csapo in Winnipeg Manitoba. At the age of 7, Wayne moved to St Amant Center. At St Amant, he had many relationships with roommates and staff where he celebrated many of his birthdays with his father’s famous cakes. He resided there until 2015, when he moved into a new home with Visions of Independence with his roommates. In 2016 Wayne started attending Spike day program where he made many friends.
Wayne lived in the North Kildonan Community where he enjoyed the outdoors by visiting many parks in the area. His favourite activities were swimming, bowling, and building Lego. Wayne had a passion for shoes, and if he liked the ones you were wearing he would be determined to take them off your feet. Wayne will be remembered for his infectious smile, his gentle soul, and his love for holding our hands. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
There will be a celebration of Wayne’s life on Wednesday, December 21 at 11:00 am, led by Pastor John Blum, at Thomson Funeral Home 669 Broadway, Winnipeg Manitoba. Interment will follow at St. Vital Cemetery, 236 River Road, Winnipeg.
