Rest in power, our sweet, beloved Talina.
In our dreams we will meet again. We love you.
From Mom:
It is with deep and profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and friend, Talina.
Talina Nahanni Sandra Rampersad-Husack, born on March 4, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital (and from where she spent some time in its NICU), passed away suddenly on July 17, 2022 at 4:55 PM at the Children’s Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit surrounded by the love of her family.
Talina will be sadly missed and forever loved and cherished by: her mother, Naline Rampersad; her father, Jeff Husack; stepmother, Trinda Husack; her baby brother, Rohnin Rampersad-Husack; her maternal grandmothers, Sandra Rampersad and Mae Husack; and her aunts and uncles Manoje Rampersad (Melissa) daughter, Shakira; son, Noah; Rohna Houston (Michael), Dave Rampersad (Natasha White)- son, Jonah; Cheryl Husack and Barb Husack.
Talina was a loving, beautiful, smart, kind, caring, thoughtful and amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter and human being. Talina always took the time to nurture the relationships in her life with small gestures of kindness and thoughtfulness. She always bore a big smile and offered an equally big hello to everyone with whom she came into contact — including her teachers and many friends.
Talina loved spending time with her mother just hanging out and being together and camping with her daddy and brother during the summer months.
After much pleading, Talina finally convinced her mother to adopt their first-ever puppy, and in November, 2021, the family welcomed Rio Claro from the Spirit of Hope Animal Rescue. Rio remains Talina’s gift to the family.
Even in her last hours, Talina unselfishly thought about her dear family: making sure her mother was taken care of and telling her to rest and not to worry. Talina’s final words to her mother were, “I love you.”
Talina will be immeasurably missed and loved by her entire family. Always and forever.
Rest in power, our sweet, beloved Talina.

From Dad:
It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing at the age of 14 of our beautiful Daughter Talina from viral pneumonia. She was the best Sister, Granddaughter, Niece and Friend.
Left to cherish her memory are her Dad Jeff, Stepmom Trinda, Brother Rohnin, Grandmother Mae, Auntie Cheryl, Auntie Barb and extended Veinot family.
Talina was born on March 4th 2008 in Winnipeg Manitoba. She spent the first 32 days of her life in the NICU.
Talina had a beautiful smile that would light up the room. Talina enjoyed going camping and road trips with her family. She shared a special bond with her 13 year old brother Rohnin. Talina's interests were volleyball, baking, shopping, doing her nails and going to Starbucks with friends.
We would often find Talina in her room studying or working on an upcoming school project. Talina excelled in school and was looking forward to going to into grade nine.
Talina was very nurturing and cherished her family and her cat Fred and they all cherished her back. She was always finding new recipes to make cookies for her dad.
Talina is forever in our hearts, our souls and in the fabric of our lives. We will carry her memory with us forever.
In our dreams we will meet again. We love you.
