Sharon "Lynn" (Manns) Johnson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn following a lengthy illness, on September 25, 2023 at the age of 76 years, at home with her family by her side.

Lynn is survived by her husband Noel Johnson, children; Melanie (Larry) Shenkeveld, Roxana Bray, Vincent (Jackie) Johnson, Gail (Curtis) Starkell, Cory (Ekaterina Nikitina) Johnson, grandchildren; Cody, Hunter, Tyson, Tyra, Tegan Schenkeveld; Tanner, Harley, Hayley Bray; Carter, Cooper Johnson; Sloan, Sage, Tate Starkell, and great-grandson Jaxon Schenkeveld.

She is also survived by; her sister Carol Elaine Mack, brother Calvin Roy Manns (Sandra), nieces and nephews; Aleda (Nick) Richards, Theresa Mack, Warren (Georgia) Mack, Karla (Gowan) Armstrong, Steven Manns, Heather Manns, Kristen (Kevin) Stocki and many cousins, friends and their families.

Lynn was predeceased by her mother Freda in 1993, her father Thomas in 2004, and brother-in-law Andrew Lloyd Mack in 2023.

Lynn grew up on the family farm near Austin, MB, and spent her adult life in Winnipeg. She worked at the same manufacturing plant in Fort Garry under three different owners (Federal Pioneer, Pauwels, Crompton-Greaves) for 32 years, during which time she organized and ran many events for the company social club. She was very active in Lord Roberts Community Centre, out of which her children played sports and participated in many activities. She liked organizing social events and family reunions, and enjoyed curling, sewing, and travelling with Noel in Canada, the USA, the UK, and Hawaii. She was a very social person and will be missed by many.

The family would like to thank the nurses of the Palliative Care Program and the Home Care Aides who helped us through this difficult period from November 2021 until now.

A Memorial Service for Sharon will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R3T5Y4.
