Royden Wolfe McCaughey

Roy was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1984.

Roy will be sadly missed by his sisters, Nora and Billie; brother Neil (Joan) nephews, Bill, Grant (Michele) and Ian; niece Barbara McMullen (Clare); sister-in-law Ida; brother-in-law Greenway McClellan; and cousins, grand-nephews and grand-nieces.

Roy was born in Winnipeg in 1914 and attended university at St. Paul's College. Upon completion of his studies, Roy joined Canada Packers and served the company faithfully until his retirement.

Roy and Mary were longtime residents of Fort Garry and enjoyed gardening around their home, attending Winnipeg Blue Bomber football games and golfing at the Breezy Bend Country Club. Roy enjoyed many winters curling at the Deer Lodge Curling Club. Roy was also an avid bridge player and a member of several bridge clubs, enjoying regular playing dates with his many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway, with reception to follow.
