It is with great sadness in our hearts to announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle and grandfather Ravinder Singh Duggal, age 69 who passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Saint Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Satnam Kaur, children: Monika, Rosie (Amar), Kulwant, Narinder, Jasbir; grandchildren: Vinay & Sanjay; along with extended Duggal family and many friends.
Ravinder was born in Karachi, Pakistan on January 2, 1946 to his parents (late) father Sardar Jaswant Singh and mother Sardarni Surjit Kaur. Ravinder was the second son of five and had grown up with his four brothers: Harbhajan (late), Surinder, Parmjit & Balbir. Ravinder was a devoted husband, a loving father and a dutiful son. As the eldest of three brothers, he held the extended family together - he was the quintessential Family Man. Ravinder was an exceptionally skilled auto mechanic technician who had a lengthy career with Bison Transport, followed by managing Beltran Machine Shop with his brothers. You will be dearly missed Daddy and will continue to live on in our hearts and memories.
God Saw You Getting Tired
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you and whispered “Come With Me”
With tearful eyes we watched you, slowly fade away,
Although we loved you dearly, we would not make you stay,
A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
Funeral Service will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg. Following the service, prayers will close at Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara, 900 McLeod Avenue, Winnipeg.
The Duggal Family deeply appreciates all of the health care staff & teams that made our father’s stays comfortable and treated us all with dignity and respect: Deer Lodge & Riverview Health Centres, Concordia & St Boniface Hospitals.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
Heartfelt gratitude for all the love and support that we have received from family and friends over the years. Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ke fateh.
