Polly was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd. Polly and Lloyd were happily married for 70 years. She is survived and loved by four children: Pat Chychrun (John), David Fisher (Elaine), Don Fisher and Kathi Fisher. She also leaves to mourn nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, who all looked forward to her warm touch, her humour and caring manner.
Polly is predeceased by her brother Peter Wiwchar and sister Mary Wastle. She is survived by her brother Joe Wiwchar.
Polly was born on July 7, 1921 in Winnipeg, MB. Her family lived in Hodgson, MB at that time.
Polly and Lloyd were successful farmers in the Oak Bluff area for many years. She took great pride in her gardening, winning many red ribbons in flower arranging. She was involved in many community activities, always lending a hand and support.
During their wonderful years together, Polly and Lloyd enjoyed travel. They visited Canada, United States, Mexico, Europe and Australia. For many years they toured the USA in their RV ending up making many friends in Yuma, AZ. After they sold their farm in 1997, Polly and Lloyd moved to South Park Estates in Fort Garry. Here they enjoyed participating in social activities with neighbours and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
