Mr. Peter Lawrence Olynyk

Peter was born (June 26, 1940) and raised in Buchanan SK. He moved to MB and graduated from Psychiatric Nursing in 1962. Before graduating, he married Beverly Ann Peters May 12, 1961. While raising their family, Peter continued his studies and became a Registered Nurse in 1978. He was employed by Stoney Mountain Correctional Facility and also held positions with the Professional Institute of public service 1982-1998. Peter loved visiting his home in Saskatchewan and helping his mom with gardening. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and many family vacations.

Peter was predeceased by his parents John and Anne Olynyk

Peter was much loved and will be missed. He leaves to mourn his wife Beverly Olynyk (nee Peters) children Christopher Olynyk (Marcia) and Pamela Kinsman (Blair), as well as grandchildren David, Maria Olynyk , Bradley Kinsman (Lisa), Trevor Kinsman (Brooke), Rebecca Kinsman (Cody), great grandchildren Mia, Peter, Charlie Kinsman; brother Michael Olynyk (Gloria), sisters Mary (Steve) Slipko, Cynthia Carlson (Leslie) as well as extended family and numerous friends.

Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held at this time. A private family Celebration of Life will be held in the future.

If so wished, donations may be made in Peter’s memory to the Cancer Research Centre.
